How To Prep Your A/C System For Spring and Summer:

Now that Spring is upon us, and summer is quickly approaching, it is essential for your A/C to be working properly this season. Texas has been known to have some intense spring/summer weather, and we want our customers and readers to be prepared and comfortable for the upcoming seasons. So, here are a few tips to ensure your A/C is functioning correctly.
  • Remove Debris From the Coil:
Make sure to trim around any trees, shrubs, or other plants to prevent build up on the outside of your air conditioner. This will prevent decreasing system capacity and reduced airflow.
  • Change/Clean the Air Filters:
This is an important step into making sure your air conditioning is working at full capacity. Be sure to replace one-inch pleated filters once a month, routinely, to ensure the longevity of your air conditioner.
The aluminum fins, on evaporator and condenser coils, are easily bent and can block airflow through the coil.  Air Texas can check these pieces at your annual maintenance visit and straighten them, if necessary.

Furthermore, Air Texas offers A/C instillation, repair, and maintenance.
